Venditti and De Gregori in concert

Tagliacozzo, with the peculiar setting of Piazza Obelisco, is among the dates of the new tour organized by Antonello Venditti e Francesco de Gregori. The concert is scheduled for August 21st, during the “Festival di Mezza Estate” (“Midsummer Festival”).

It will be the second gig in Abruzzo, with the first being in Lanciano on July 19th.

The two songwriters will bring to Tagliacozzo the concert of their new tour, that will start in Rome with four dates (June 5th, 7th, 8th, and 15th) at the Baths of Caracalla.

The people from the Marsica region will have the chance to enjoy a unique, exciting show, with the songwriters revisiting their old tunes – the perfect occasion for a stroll down memory lane.

The band that plays with the two songwriters joins the many long-time collaborators that have been playing with the two songwriters for years: Alessandro Canini (drums), Danilo Cherni (keyboards), Carlo Gaudiello (piano), Primiano Di Biase (hammond), Fabio Pignatelli (bass guitar), Amedeo Bianchi (Sax), Paolo Giovenchi (guitar), Alessandro Valle (Pedal Steel Guitar and mandolin), as well as the violinist Fabiana Sirigu and the two choristers Laura Ugolini and Laura Marafioti. Guido Guglielminetti and Alessandro Canini will take care of the tour’s musical coordination.

Venditti and De Gregori recorded and reinterpreted two hits of their repertoire, “Peppino” and “La donna cannone”, currently available on digital platforms and on the radio.
