Here, the most important word is “love”. That’s what guides the chef Luca Totani, who has created the small restaurant “Connubio” in the city center of L’Aquila. The name (that means “bond”) comes from the union of working experiences both in Italy and abroad, and from the vision of the chef. “Connubio” here means harmony, good food, and welcome. It is fantasy, and it is also tradition and innovation.
The chef, who greatly love his birthplace, decided to focus exclusively on local products, and the restaurant offers a wide selection of wines come from all over the peninsula, creating an excellent selection that goes perfectly with the menu.
The restaurant was opened in 2016 in a small street of L’Aquila, and in 2018 it moved inside the Fibbioni Palace. The idea of a “bond” can be seen also in the menu: a mix of working experiences united to the roots of the earth. In the new menu, beside the traditional dishes cooked in an innovative way, clients can also appreciate the fusion of five different regions: Abruzzo, Lazio, Calabria, Emilia Romagna and Puglia.
